Registered Nurse
"I just completed the 21-day Gut Reboot Program with Megan and Emerge Health. Let me tell you I am so glad I did it. I am a Registered Nurse and you would think I would know better. I work night shift and would have lots of gas, bloating, and other GI issues. I also needed to lose some weight, and my joints hurt. Not to mention I was tired all of the time. I was skeptical about doing a gut reboot, mainly out of fear for the unknown because change is hard.
Megan gives you the building blocks to conquer those issues. She has meal plans, shopping lists, planning ideas, and support. The best thing is she leads by example. I told myself to stop being scared and give it a go. I spent a little time doing some research on gut health and come to find out as Megan pointed out, this goes way way back in history. Gut health isn't a new concept, it just one that sadly isn't talked about in mainstream in medicine or on social media, but it should be.
Megan setup a group discussion board and it really helped me stay focused. We shared recipes and encouraged each other. After the 1st week, I noticed changes in my body and my clothes. I lost 8 lbs! I also discovered that I didn't dislike the food on the meal plans, because it was normal foods with different ingredients. I still have some stuff in my freezer and pantry that I am slowly working through and it will take time, but I am pleased to turn both over with new tasty new foods. I even surprised myself and found that I enjoy gluten free and non-dairy foods! They don't taste like cardboard.
Now that the program is over, I was surprised how much in me has changed. The bloating, gas, other GI things, and excessive mucus production in my throat after eating is gone! I feel awesome, my body doesn't hurt, and I have so much energy. I still have a long way to go personally, but I am excited to continue this journey and continue to heal my gut. This isn't a diet, this is a lifestyle change and I love it."

"Megan’s 21-day Gut Reboot Program transformed & alchemized parts of my life that have felt stuck and unclear for quite some time. My overall goal with Megan’s Program was to gain more energy and to see if my day-to-day routine would be made clearer from cutting certain elements out of my diet. I didn’t realize how foggy my general thought processing and energy levels had become from constantly consuming gluten, dairy, and refined sugars. This program taught me how to maintain my overall gut health and how to always be conscious of the foods I consume and/or prepare for others. And over the course of the 21-days, I unintentionally lost almost 11lbs. without exercising! That was a real wakeup call seeing how my body was responding to these changes. Thanks to Megan’s 21-Day Gut Reboot Program, each new day for me now starts with a laser-focused, turbocharged energy for everything life has to offer!"

"My biggest win from Megan’s 21-day Gut Reboot Program was my blood sugar. I cannot believe my results in just the first week. I'm quickly realizing that gluten and my type1 diabetes do not get along. I wish I could have known to eliminate gluten decades ago. My average blood sugar for the first 7 days is 92 mg/dL, which is non-diabetic (target range for my sugar is 60-170 mg/dL). If I keep this up until my next doctor's appointment, I would love to see his face!"

Husband and Wife Experience
"My husband and I participated in Megan’s 21-day Gut Reboot Program that began in mid-January 2023. In the program, we eliminated gluten and dairy for 3 weeks. Megan provided weekly menus, complete with itemized shopping lists, which made the program super easy to follow and stick with. By about the 15th day, we began experiencing positive changes. We each lost several pounds, had more energy, felt less bloated and our constitution was greatly improved! And now that the program has ended, we’ve found that the basics we learned about more mindful eating has become habit for us...and we feel great!"

"I have been on "diets" many times in my life, and I feel like I have the knowledge needed to lose weight. What I lacked was the ability to make permanent changes and keep it off. I am a recent cancer survivor, and diabetes runs rampant in my family's medical history, so losing weight was no longer a cosmetic need, it was a medical one. The medicines I take to prevent the cancer from returning also caused massive hormonal changes and weight gain, but removing those meds was not an option. I had to learn a better way to improve and manage my health.
Aside from not having any clothes that I felt comfortable in, which caused great anxiety every day while dressing, I had also begun to get winded very easily and was oversleeping often. Any physical activity would leave my heart racing and my breathing labored, and I would have to sit down until my heart rate and breathing returned to normal. I knew that a permanent change needed to be made. A "diet" was not going to bring me back to good health.
At my first meeting with Megan, I realized that, while I had the knowledge, she was able to bring the tools to make that knowledge work for me. She identified my triggers and my weaknesses, and she brought real solutions that were easy to implement. She provided wonderful recipes that were easy to prepare. This allowed me to prepare several days worth of meals at one time, which kept me from ordering out on stressful or busy workdays. It also increased my intake of vitamins and minerals from my diet, rather than from a supplement.
I have replaced sodas with flavored, no calorie carbonated waters without missing a beat. I've replaced my favorite snacks- ice cream, pretzels, chips -with gluten-free alternatives that taste no different. I've switched to plant-based butter and almond milk. These changes have been so much easier than I ever imagined.
I've focused on moving more. I take short walks, park further from the building, take the stairs and turn off the TV. In the first two months, I lost twenty pounds! The weight came off at a good, predictable rate. I am able to wear clothes that were too tight just a short time ago, and the clothes I wore at the beginning of this process now hang off of me. This has boosted my confidence and made me less anxious. And the best part is that I can now spend hours in the yard on the weekends without having to constantly take breaks to sit down.
I still have a journey ahead of me in order to reach a weight that is best for my health, but I feel as though I am now properly prepared. There is no goal weight in my mind. The changes that I have made with Megan's help are changes that have become habitual and will be permanent changes. This regimen will not end when I reach a certain weight.
I am still able to order off of a restaurant menu with no issues, and I recently prepared Christmas dinner for my extended family with a healthy menu. No one noticed a thing. They didn't even miss the mac and cheese!
While I have been grateful for everything I've learned from Megan, it's also the weekly check-in sessions that have made a difference. It helps to be able to ask questions, look for recommendations, and seek advice. But the biggest impact has been the emotional support and encouragement that I receive in those sessions. It has been invaluable.
If you are hoping to make a permanent change in your lifestyle, your eating habits and your level of physical activity, private coaching with Megan will be the best decision you've ever made!"

"Megan's 21-day Gut Reboot Program is so easy to start because she gives you a "shopping list" and includes a menu plan with delicious recipes. I joined this plan to restart a very stubborn digestive issue and to gain more energy. IT HELPED! Not only did I learn a new way of eating, I achieved what I joined for. I look forward to staying connected and renewing my eating into better habits. Thank you, Dr. Meg!!!"
